Originally from Connecticut, Ryan McGuire grew up hiking in the White Mountains and skiing in Vermont. Ryan decided to follow his passion and left the business world to pursue guiding instead. He mostly guides in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, leading mountaineering and ice climbing courses on Mount Washington and throughout the Presidential Range. His passion for travel and bigger mountains has led him to climb in other parts of the country and in South America, as well. Dedicated to continually improving his skills, Ryan is pursuing the AMGA alpine guide track.
